Managers Celebrate a Workforce That Actually Clocks In on Time
In a shocking yet entirely predictable turn of events, uAttend by Chronologic has been named Employee of the Month at thousands of workplaces across the UK, narrowly beating Dave from Accounting, who only shows up when biscuits are provided.
Managers nationwide are celebrating the cloud-based time and attendance system’s unprecedented dedication, noting its 100% clock-in rate, refusal to take lunch breaks, and complete lack of complaints about office temperature.
“We knew uAttend by Chronologic was good, but this level of commitment is unheard of,”
said HR manager Linda Wainwright, whose inbox has been suspiciously quiet since the system made payroll data exports quicker and easier.
“It never calls in sick, never forgets to clock in, and never asks for a raise. Frankly, it puts the rest of us to shame.”
Workers Struggle to Outsmart the System
Meanwhile, office workers have expressed mixed feelings. Some appreciate the system’s unwavering accuracy, while others remain resentful that they can no longer sneak in five minutes late by subtly adjusting their watch.
“Look, I’m not saying uAttend is out to get me,”
admitted Steve from IT, shuffling nervously,
“but last Monday, I ‘forgot’ to clock in, and by the time I reached my desk, my manager had already spotted it on the dashboard in real-time. It’s like the system just knows.”
Despite these concerns, businesses are celebrating their new model ‘employee,’ with many considering additional accolades, including “Most Reliable Team Member” and “Best at Not Taking a Two-Hour Lunch.” Some have even suggested that the system should be put in charge of running meetings, as it is significantly better at keeping track of time than most middle managers.
Even Dave from Accounting Can’t Compete
When asked for a comment on its award, uAttend by Chronologic simply continued operating flawlessly, exporting accurate reports, and helping companies win back valuable time.
Dave from Accounting, however, remains unimpressed.
“Let’s see if it can make a decent cup of tea,”
he scoffed, before immediately vanishing when it was his turn on the tea round.
