Talk Direct (a five-shop (soon to be nine!) O2 franchise) are using the uAttend system and they had the following to say:

We had to go around each store every week to collect the data on
a memory stick and then bring it back to the head office to collate
all the information.

CONSTRUCTION
This customer is using a mixture of BN3000 and BN4000 finger print terminals on
building sites to monitor their employees and their sub-contractors attendance.
The managers at Sharkey can view the attendance on site
from anywhere in the world using any internet browser.
They have also given their
sub-contractor's managers
access to
their own staff on
the system. This shows that
you can use the
system to divide
up the responsibility
for managing employees
and enable remote users to
access the data as required.
Neil, the IT Manager said:
"We've been a customer for a few months having found A2T's
BN3000 bio-metric system through the internet.
We've implemented two BN3000's on two of our construction sites and so far so good. The cloud based access allows us to access the time keeping info from anywhere and we didn't have any cap ex costs."
They also use the Wi-Fi Finger Print terminals and Mi-Fi units to provide instant Time and Attendance systems on sites where there is nothing but power.

James Staff, finance officer at Martin Carwardine & Co, had until recently a real issue on his hands relating to time and attendance…
Martin Carwardine & Co is a family business based in North Somerset, established in 1866, that specialises in coffee roasting, providing sixteen original varieties and twenty five standard blends, as well as tea and coffee machines.
The company had been using an antiquated paper-based time and attendance system, which was impacting negatively on both staff morale and the efficiency of the company, and was literally costing more money
each month. James explains: ‘There were lots of disputes between members of staff. People were saying they’d signed in and out at particular times, which in actual fact, they hadn’t. I had reached a point where I
knew I had to find a solution to the problem that no-one – either management or staff – could argue with.’
Then in December 2010 a colleague suggested he try using a new
employee management system called the uAttend™ system with a
CB 2000 clocking terminal. James didn’t want to buy anything, so was
pleased to discover that it was operated as a service. He liked the fact
that the system was cloud based and that the clocking terminal had built
in Wi-Fi, so there would be no extra cables to worry about.
The company installed the device on 22nd December, as James relates, ‘I didn’t really have any initial worries, as setting up was relatively straight forward and the system was pretty much what we wanted.’
James explains the setting up process: ‘All I had to do was plug in the terminal. It then searched for wireless networks and I chose the appropriate one. I confirmed the type of network security used and then entered the code for the network. Then I went to my secure service web page and keyed in our reference for the clocking terminal. I added a department and my employees to the system and that was it – very simple. I had it up and running in a few minutes with no problems. And I felt very relieved.’
James explains why he finds the A2T uAttend system so much easier to use: ‘You don’t have to go through a head of department each time you want to sort out pay, so it has saved me a lot of time, as I’m spending
less effort on administration, so I’m saving money for the company. It means I can get on with my job better and I’m not wasting time trying to settle disputes about pay. I can concentrate on the things that I should be getting on with.’
‘The system is perfect because everyone now knows where they stand and there are no arguments anymore. It’s really easy to use and all the information you need is on a web page. Our staff find it easy to use, too, so there’s no problems at all now.’

‘The system has really changed our business for the better. Certain people are now in the office for 9am, when originally they weren’t! My employees can now see how and why they are paid. I can print off their
clocking on and clocking off times and put it in with their pay packet, and they can quite clearly see that these are the hours they’ve worked and that’s why they’re being paid x amount this month.’
