02 and CEX Franchise Operations now Clocking in with The Cloud
02 franchise stores are reaping the benefits of employing the web-based time and attendance system uAttend.
The organisation was so impressed with its initial trial of the system that uAttend has now been installed in Fifteen of its 02 and CEX franchise stores, with five more stores in the pipeline.
uAttend is ideal for franchise operations as it allows flexible and affordable multi-site attendance monitoring and reporting, whilst the ability to clock in and out from a time-clock, telephone, web-browser or GPS enabled smart-phone app (or any combination of these) means that franchisors can easily analyse and report on the attendance of employees whether they are working at head office or in a remote site.
Because the system runs in the cloud there is no software to install and managers can easily log in, view hours, run reports and manage the system online, in real time, before emailing employee hours to a payroll bureau or exporting electronically to payroll.
02 franchise stores had previously employed an alternative time and attendance system which they had found unreliable. They then reverted to manual collation of information but this was proving costly in terms of time for its managers, with each manager spending at least an hour a week on collating and managing information.
Having seen the uAttend system online, the company arranged a trial last summer of a BN3000 finger print terminal in one of its East Yorkshire stores. To its relief it found that the time and attendance information needed was now readily collated, with weekly breakdowns, and in an easy-to-view format for both managers and staff to use.
Now uAttend is being employed in 02 franchise stores across East, West and South Yorkshire, with the operation reaping the benefits of management time savings.
