A simple PDF that explains it all in a few pages here.
Q1: What are the benefits of a web-based time and attendance system?
A: Utilising a completely web-based time and attendance system has many benefits over traditional time and attendance systems:
- Access data anytime, anywhere. No need to travel to an office or off site location to pick up time and attendance data.
- Receive data from multiple locations. All data is delivered to one account eliminating the need to aggregate disparate reports.
- No software to install or maintain. No IT issues, no software upgrades, no issues!
- Grow your business without outgrowing your system. uAttend allows you to quickly and easily add new employees, locations, and time clocks.
Q2: Where can I find out what features the system has and the benefits it can give me?
A1: Click here to find out lots more about the system including videos, animations, screen shots and other useful information.
A2: See the system Help Screens to see what features are available in the system to confirm that it will do what you need it to.
Q3: Where can I find out what existing users are saying about the system?
A: Click here to see what existing users have found when using the system.

Q4: Isn't uAttend more expensive than a traditional time clock because of the monthly subscription?
A: Absolutely not. The total cost of ownership for a uAttend system is typically 20 - 40% less than the total cost of ownership for a comparable time clock over the course of three years. It's important to factor in the cost of software upgrades, service and support contracts, and extended warranties when contemplating buying a time clock that does not have a lifetime warranty (for all active subscribers).
Q5: What's the difference between the CB1000 and CB2000?
A: The CB1000 and CB2000 have many similarities. Both clocks are:
- Plug and play ready
- Web-Based
- Allow clockings with either a proximity card or PIN pad
- Unlimited Employees
There are two primary differences between the clocks:
- The CB2000 connects to the Internet via an active WIFI connection. The CB1000 connects via an active LAN connection.
- The CB2000 features a full colour TFT monitor and allows you to display your company's logo. The CB1000 features a monochromatic monitor.
Q6: What's the difference between the BN3000 and BN4000 Finger Print Biometric Terminals?
A: The BN3000 and BN4000 have many similarities. Both clocks are:
- Plug and play ready
- Web-Based
- Allow clockings with either a biometric finger print or PIN pad
- Unlimited Employees
There are two primary differences between the clocks:
- The BN4000 connects to the Internet via an active WIFI connection. The BN3000 connects via an active wired LAN connection.
- The BN3000 and BN4000 both feature a full colour TFT monitor and allows you to display your company's logo.
Q7: Are there any issues with storing employee finger prints?
A: This is a question we hear a lot from people considering the benefits of biometric clocking terminals. Basically, the uAttend biometric clocking terminals do NOT store an image of anyone's finger print. Once the enrolment of the employees finger is complete the terminals store any information they need simply as a number, it is not possible to recreate anything from within the terminal or the system that could be used to provide an image of a persons finger print.
In fact someone once commented during a discussion on this, "...of course they could get my finger print from my coffee cup more easily than from the clocking terminal!" So once the finger print has been recorded you could say that it would look like this inside the terminal memory - '18497505483', just a reference number that refers to the output from the reader when the employee puts their finger on it. The idea being that no two peoples 'numbers' are the same and that is why the terminal knows who is who!
Q8: Which time clock is right for me?
A: The CB1000 or BN3000 are perfect for companies that have an active LAN network that is used to connect to the Internet.
The CB2000 or BN4000 are perfect for companies that have an active WIFI router that is used to connect to the Internet.
Q9: Is there limit to the number of locations my employees can clock in and out from?
A: NO, you can have as many time clocks as you like attached to your uAttend account. The first two terminal connections are included in your monthly membership, after that each clocking terminal connection is charged at £10 per month.
Q10: I want to use your system, but I don't need a time clock. What are my options?
A: Many companies utilise uAttend for tracking their employee's time and attendance without using a time clock. These companies have employees that log in and log out from either a web browser, a telephone or using a smart phone app. To get started without purchasing a time clock, simply click here.
Q11: Are the CB1000, CB2000, MN1000, BN3000 and BN4000 really plug and play?
A: Yes, the CB1000, CB2000, BN3000 and BN4000 are some of the easiest time clocks to get set up. The entire set up process takes under 5 minutes and requires absolutely ZERO network configuration. Literally connect them to your network, type in their unique identifier to your uAttend account and away you go, it really is as simple as that! And if you need any advice or help then the lifetime warranty and support are yours to use as much as you like.
Q12: Am I locked into a long service contract when I purchase a uAttend Time Clock?
A: Never! We are so confident that you will love our service that you can stop any time. Our service is month to month, and, to top it off, if you cancel within your first 30 days you are entitled to a complete refund!
Q13: What do I do if my CB1000, CB2000, MN1000, BN3000 and BN4000 stops working?
A: Call us on 0845 6808568 and speak with a customer service representative. They will help you trouble shoot your device, and if we can't get you going again, we will send you a replacement.
Q14: Do my employees have to choose if they are going to clock in from a uAttend Time Clock, a Web Browser, Smart Phone App or a Telephone?
A: Your employees can clock in or out from any device you decide to let them clock in from, multiple clocking terminals on multiple sites, web-browser, smart phone app or phone at any time. For example, an employee can clock in on a CB1000 and clock out on a web browser.
Q15: Can I limit the locations that my employees can clock at when using Telephone or Smart Phone App clocking?
A: Both telephone and app clocking can have restrictions placed on them so that employees can only clock where they are meant to. Telephone clocking uses Caller Line Identification and App Clocking uses Geo Locations. Employees can also be limited to only certain BN series terminals as well if you have more than one.
Q15: How secure is my data?
A: We take every care we can with your data, check out this writeup of the procedures in place to protect it.
